Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What else can I do?
A: Improving how you feel and look is a mix of many moving pieces.
Over the next 12 weeks we will provide you tips and actions to take that will improve vitality, health and physique.
Q: What is your “why?”
A: Usually when people want to make health changes, they want a cookie-cutter program to follow that gets fast results.
The problem with that approach is that things usually don’t stick.
If you truly want to change and have it last and be meaningful, you need to start with yourself and your motivation.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: Ask and answer these questions of yourself:
- What are my values?
- What are my priorities in life?
- What am I able to do, REALISTICALLY if I prioritize improving my health?
(This means if you can only exercise 2x a week, recognize and be okay with that Don’t expect you need to train 7 days a week if you can only realistically do 2).
Q: What this is and what it isn’t?
A: Over the next 12 weeks you will recieve additional information and actions to take, helping you toward your goals. The more you practice these actions and become consistent with them, the more they will become habit and easier to do.
This IS an action-based guideline to getting leaner, and healthier
This IS for everyone. However, people doing things consistently may want/need more detailed instruction.
Each action will have suggestions to scale up or down based on where YOU are, not some ideal of what you should be doing. You start with what you are comfortable and confident with and advance over time.
This ISN’T – A diet, or meal plan or rigid set of rules.
Q: What to do?
A: For now follow the doctor’s orders and sit tight for more program-specific info arriving in about a week.
As you begin therapy treatment, you’ll receive your first action to practice.
Why Your Body Needs B12
B12, known as the “energy vitamin,” is central to energy production, and converting carbs and fats into energy. B12 is also critical for healthy cells and a positive aging process.
What’s more: B12 improves immune health, heart health, sleep cycle and mood regulation – and even enhances internal brain and nervous system communication. Studies show that B12 slows brain impairment, and improves cognitive abilities.
How vitamin injections work
The vitamins go straight into the muscle tissue and thus the bloodstream, releasing a powerful host of uncompromised, pure supplements into a patient’s shoulder. A small needle and a numbing agent in the vitamin mix ensure an easy and pain-free injection.
Or, a quick, painless shot is administered into the belly region, typically three times a week. These shots are great additions to training and fitness programs, especially if a patient is already on a hormone optimization plan.
Where do I get these vitamins?
Patients at clinics such as Affinity Whole Health can receive injectable vitamins. Contact us to learn more about how you can enjoy the many benefits of injectable vitamins.
Normal Testosterone Ranges for Men
Most medical clinics and doctors consider a normal range of testosterone level for men to be between about 280 and 1,100 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dl). We tend to agree – a healthy level for our patients is usually between 400 and 900 ng/dl.
The key to testosterone levels is how you feel, and what’s optimal for you. One man might feel good at 450 ng/dl, while another guy feels his best at 600 or 700 ng/dl.
Test levels drop steadily after age 30, and they can take a serious dive after age 40.
Signs of Low Testosterone
Many men have no clear textbook signs of low T – except for the fact that they just don’t feel like they used to. They experience a general feeling of malaise. But, many men do experience low testosterone symptoms including:
- lowered libido
- fewer erections and impotence
- emotional changes such as low self-confidence and depression
- lack of motivation
- change in sleep patterns
- more body fat … and fat becomes harder to lose
- decreased muscle mass
- decreased strength
- lack of energy
- decrease in mental clarity, or “mental fog”
The only way to be sure is to have your levels checked. We’ve seen guys go from feeling desperate and hopeless, to absolutely amazing, in a short period of time. Get checked, and get on the path to restoring your health!
